Education
for life or livelihood may be a cliché
but the question appears to be more relevant
now than ever before."
According
to Gandhiji, education should enable one
to become the best person he or she is
capable of becoming. Education should
dispel fear, for knowledge is power. It
should develop a well-integrated personality,
ready to take on the world and its complex
problems. It should enable us to overcome
social barriers, fears and frustrations.
It should help us to draw the essence
of life and make us wise. It should help
us to develop character without which
everything is a waste.
It is
here that the endeavors of the Montfort
Institutions of education stand out. We
at LFJRC attach importance to value-based
education. At a time when ranks are the
prime consideration in many education
centers, it is comprehensive education
that we lay stress on here, because we
believe that education should ennoble.
Holistic education is the all-round development
of a child, which includes not only academic
pursuits but also most importantly, value
based knowledge. If ranks too can be achieved
in this process, it is a welcome sign.
We aim at producing beacons rather than
arc lights. Education to us is a sound
mind in a sound body. Such a person is
contented wherever he is and a contented
person spreads joy wherever he goes.
So our
aim is to help children realize that.
"What
you are is God's gift to you,
What you become is your gift to God."
