To
keep up with the times it is important for students
to get computer savvy as soon as they can and
that is why computer training has been introduced
in the college.
Little Flower Junior College has had computer
education for students in its curriculum for the
last 10 years.
Little Flower
Junior College has had computer education for
students in its curriculum for the last 10 years.
The students
learn not only programming (which may not be everyone's
cup of tea) but also basic Windows-based operations
as well as MS Word, Power Point, Excel, and Access.
This way everyone knows how to operate a computer
even if one doesn't become a software wizard.
In fact Little Flower was one of the first colleges
in the city to realize this and introduced Windows
based learning as early as 1990.
Multimedia systems
have made learning very enjoyable for students.
Apart from exciting games, educational software
in Math, Science, English grammar and spelling
makes their learning more interesting. The students
get excited at the very mention of an extra computer
class. They just love trying out different programmers
and become very disappointed when the class bell
goes off wishing they had more time to spend in
front of the computer.
The teachers
are always there to help with the practical They
make sure that the transition from computer theory
taught in the class to using the computer in actual
practice isn't too confusing.
